Concerting
3:00 - Finally get the hell out of Tacoma.
6:00 - Reach exit 143, head towards the Gorge.
6:45 - Park.
6:55 - Scrounge for seating. Curse self for buying lawn seats. End up in the GA section right behind the fence.
7:05 - 9:30 - Try to watch concert between getting kicked and watching people fight over 1'x1' space. Watch the fence jumpers and people making out 2 feet in front of me. Listen to the thudding sound of people landing in our space. Watch so I don't get drenched in beer. Get a contact high.
9:30 - Realize we're getting too old for this shit when the guy in front of us almost gets set on fire from someone else's cigarette. Fight our way out. Head for home.
I went nuts when we moved here and we've tried to see as many big venue concerts as we could to make up for lost time. But the reality is sometimes...it's just not worth the drive time or gas money. People are rude.
I'm sure it was a great concert. Actually when I wasn't being distracted by the aforementioned I did enjoy a couple songs. I think smaller clubs and venues are in our future. Need to get back into seeing live theater anyhow.
Second concert in a row where we should have left earlier, and we should have gotten seats instead of sitting on the lawn.
Hindsight and all...
