I am giddily thrilled to announce that my Heartland of America fountain photo can be found in the newly released fourth edition of the Schmap Omaha Guide. Yay :)

Capitol sunset
Sometimes if you're really lucky the clouds will part and you'll get a fantastic week of weather. It can happen - even in the Pacific Northwest.

Teh moon
Steps to taking a "meh" lunar eclipse photo:
1. Absolutely do not buy that 500mm lens at the local camera shop. You know, the one that was on sale? You'll never need it.
2. Don't plan ahead. Leave your tripod in your husband's car knowing full well he won't be home until after the height of the eclipse is over.
3. Don't charge your main or spare batteries. Power to the camera is soooo overrated.
4. Pick a vantage point heavily populated with power lines and lots of traffic.
Oh well...only 2 years 'til the next one? :)
