About the author:
I am a native Nebraskan currently residing in Olympia, WA with my husband and our menagerie. My “real” job is working as a geek for a government entity; in my spare time I love to play in the sun when I can, explore Washington and the NW in general, travel, take photos, hike, play MMORPG’s, spend way too much time on reddit, and nap. I’m a big fan of naps.
I started this website a few years ago to keep my friends and family back home updated, and then turned it into a photo blog because I can say a lot more with pictures than words.
I started playing with cameras around 2001 when I picked up an old Pentax film camera at a garage sale and started futzing around. My Grandfather was a painter/photographer so I like to say I got it from him. My current primary camera is a Sony a350, but I also shoot with a Canon SD 1000, A Polaroid Land Camera 220, and my iPhone.
Thanks to everyone who has been supportive about my photography, and to those who love me for being me. I am very blessed.
(I miss you, Grandma. Love to Matty and Emily.)
