Big juicy steaks, baked potatoes, yummy Hefeweizen with extra lemon, loads of fireworks…and no one lost an eye or finger. A happy 4th all around

Since it rained all week and most of the weekend too I didn’t have a lot of hope that we’d make the fireworks this year. But an hour before they started it was clear enough out that we decided to head downtown and see how it went. I was the only camera geek with my tripod and gear out on the water (that I saw anyhow) and I’m really pleased with how this shot came out.
