During our Oregon trip we stopped off along the Columbia River Gorge to look at the waterfalls. This time we headed in a different direction which took by Bridal Veil and Latourell Falls, and then up to the Vista House. I can’t say enough good things about the drive and view in this region but they’re a must see if you find yourself in the area. If you’re going with the intent of photographing the falls try to go later in the afternoon when the sun is behind the falls area (just FYI).

Our first road trip of the season. We were headed to Portland but we got a late start, so we crossed our fingers and hoped to find the waterfalls along the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge area frozen. Luckily the temps have been low enough lately that we found exactly what we were looking for.
We stopped at Wahkeena, Multnomah, and Horsetail Falls – each as icy as can be and each more beautiful than the last.

This is from the last roll of film I took with the Holga before its untimely demise. the roll sat in the bottom of my purse for too long, but a few of the photos came out pretty well. this of Christine Falls at Mt Rainier is my favorite.
